Intercession

"I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in all the earth." Isaiah 62:6-7

"Let the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations…this honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord!" Psalms 149:6-9

As the Lord promises to set watchmen on the wall (intercessors) in their place of spiritual warfare to release blessings and to raise up protection for the people of God, we take our place and engage in worship, sing His high praises, and intercede night and day.

In intercessory prayer times, we partner with the Lord to established His will on the earth. He will not act apart from our partnering with Him and declaring His promises back to Him. As we proclaim His Word back to Him, we come into agreement with His heart; His longings become our longings; our hearts are moved with His compassion; and we cry out His heart's desire for the nations, cities, salvation of people, church issues, economic issues, strongholds, and crisis events. Prayers from the New Testament are used as we focus on specific needs which the Holy Spirit highlights.
