Harp and Bowl

Harp and Bowl is a form of worship taken from Revelation 5:8, "The twenty four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp and a golden bowl full of the incense, which are the prayers of the saints."

In this model of worship, the harp reveals the worshipping of God with musical instruments. The golden bowls denote the intercessory prayers of the saints. We join the musical instruments with the prayers of intercession and the singing of the Scriptures, and what results is a harmony of musical instruments and human voices in antiphonal worship before the Throne.

This same basic principle is used in different prayer formats.
